Who I Am

My name is Eden Schwinghamer, and I am a Toronto-based artist born and raised on the east coast of Canada. Working within and beyond the lens, my work pulls apart the contents of a photograph by incorporating data, science, and technology into image-based practices. Ranging from materials-based analog processes to fully digital abstraction, my work aims to question the nature of photographic truth and interrogate the formal and social constructions that define an image.

What I Do

My work ranges from conventional portraits to abstract digital and analog processes informed by questions of visibility, presence, and photographic knowing. My work centres around connection, and the nature of photographic representation.

My CV is available here, and my resume, as well as custom proofing galleries are available on request. Not all of my work is currently on display!
