In June of 2021 I left my hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia for the small town of Barry’s Bay, Ontario. I moved for a change of scenery, some fresh air, and to move not just houses, but homes. While living with my grandparents over two summers, I stayed in my mom’s room, surrounded by the objects and places that were once hers. Echoes is an exploration of our relationship, shared places, and our shared methods of seeking comfort.
